GarageBand '06

I took the opportunity to check out the latest version of Apple’s GarageBand and I am very impressed. In fact, I think this is one of the best upgrades in the new iLife ‘06 package. Many of the enhancements are aimed at podcasting, which is just perrr-fect. The addition of enhanced voice tools, recording audio or video chats, and new jingles make podcasting easy.
My favorite addition is the integrated chapter tools in the timeline. Before, I would create an XML file and hand-code a chapter list after the podcast was mastered. Now, I can create chapters on-the-fly and modify while editing. Garageband also lets me assign photos, URLs, and text hints quickly and easily.
