We made it!
The drive to D.C. actually wasn't too bad, but very long. Kansas wasn't as bad as driving through Nevada, but I don't really want to see Kansas all that bad again either. Once we arrived in Missouri, the land was beautiful! Green and growing all the way to D.C. The curious thing is that D.C. doesn't seem all that big, since all the towns and cities are surrounded by masses of trees and vegitation. It's really only the traffic that is terrible.
I'm now at Washington National Opera working in the development office with Richard Russell and his amazing staff. I am amazed at how well run this organization is, especially the development office. The real treat is all the wonderful people I'm meeting and working with. I'll have to write later about the "who's who" list.
